One of my vases being displayed at the Franklin Art Show
Of course, Ayden.

An old Family photo.

Life has been most interesting. Finals are almost over. Now, I have a little time for twaddle and funny thoughts, plodding hyperbole and brilliant metaphor.

Hum, I think I may need to hire someone.

Ayden and Music ball

School season and Fall...2009

So, school is upon us again. Expensive books, brisk air and sharp pencils that hopefully lead to sharp minds. I hope that mine starts to feel that way soon.....

David is doing well and Ayden is growing up fast. He has his first tooth and is getting two more on top. David especially is enjoying his 2nd grade year. He has a great teacher and is enjoying spending some time with his grandparents during the week.

Ayden is crawling and climbing all over the place. Yesterday, he climbed up on the coffee table. I have decided that the wool shorties and longies are great. I especially like the wool longies for this cooler weather. They protect Ayden's legs really well and keep him warm and dry at the same time.

James Blunt Same Mistake Lyrics:
Saw the world turning in my sheets and once again I cannot sleep.
Walk out the door and up the street; look at the stars beneath my feet.
Remember rights that I did wrong, so here I go. Hello, hello.
There is no place I cannot go.

My mind is muddy but my heart is heavy. Does it show?
I lose the track that loses me, so here I go.
And so I sent some men to fight, and one came back at dead of night.
Said he'd seen my enemy.
Said he looked just like me, So I set out to cut myself and here I go.

I'm not calling for a second chance, I'm screaming at the top of my voice. Give me reason but don't give me choice.
'Cause I'll just make the same mistake again.
And maybe someday we will meet, and maybe talk and not just speak.
Don't buy the promises 'cause, there are no promises I keep.
And my reflection troubles me, so here I go.
I'm not calling for a second chance,I'm screaming at the top of my voice.
Give me reason but don't give me choice.
'Cause I'll just make the same mistake, I'm not calling for a second chance, I'm screaming at the top of my voice. Give me reason but don't give me choice.
'Cause I'll just make the same mistake again.

Saw the world turning in my sheets and once again I cannot sleep.
Walk out the door and up the street; look at the stars.
Look at the stars fall down.

And wonder where did I go wrong.

Lyrics: Same Mistake, James Blunt

Thanks to Mel for helping me figure out how to change my blogger template. I have tried a few times, but finally this worked.

Games

I have come to the conclusion that I detest online games. At one point in my life, I felt they were okay. Occasionally fun, sometimes a little time consuming but overall not a big deal if you have self control.

Boy was I wrong! These MMORPG are the biggest time waste I have seen in my life.
I have played different ones in the past and I am able to walk away. I determined that if the first thing I did in the morning was log on to see where my character was, then the game had passed to the "obsession" stage Time to pull the plug!

Here is the deal. My husband has been playing this game online. I won't say the name, but it starts with Tribal . . .s. Anyway, it starts out small with one little village and then it grows into this huge monster of a game that never sleeps, eats, goes to the bathroom or listens to the family.

He wakes up early in the morning to get online and play, he stays up late in the evening to play and he comes home in the daytime to play. I would guess that he spends at least 7 hours per day on this stupid thing. In fact, he has turned down food as well.

I am starting to wish that the computer would just burst into flames. Any ideas out there?

Howdy again

Been a long time since I posted.
Life has been crazy the last few months. We finally moved and are almost done with the unpacking.
Ayden is growing super fast and some photos are included below.

David's bedroom.

The frog habitat. We actually have a small frog that lives in the plants.

The above photo is from his blessing day. Dad gave Ayden the blessing. It was very nice. One of the sisters in the ward wrote down most of what he said. David was mentioned in the blessing about protecting and helping his brother. David perked right up and paid attention when he heard his name. Louis took him up front and brought him back, the only trouble is that he wouldn't give Ayden back to me after the blessing was over. The scamp hung onto Ayden all the way till they left. (including in this photo)

Okay, this little series of pics is of me, the crazy mother, playing a little game with Ayden, the unfortunate captive audience.... I was trying to get him to stick his tongue out at me and catch it on film. Here he is giving me the "okay, why did I come here" and "who is this crazy lady" look.

I am only including 3 photos here, but trust me, it took about 30 pictures to finally get one with his tongue out that wasn't blurry.

I just liked this cute face.

This is our great room with high ceilings. I like it. It is still a bit disorganized here, but getting better.

I thought that this was a cute little face.
